The Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University Katsina, Prof. Nasiru Musa Yauri has
bagged the professional fellowship of the Institute of Corporate Executives of
Nigeria. Prof. Yauri was inducted alongside fourteen other distinguished
personalities during the regional conference of the Institute which took place in
Katsina State on Thursday, 3th November, 2022.
Prof. Yauri’s nomination for the award was tabled during the last quarterly
summit of the Institute which gave the approval, having expressed satisfaction
with the outstanding achievements, hard work and managerial skills of the
Vice-Chancellor.
The current membership of the Institute stands at about 60,000 and as a fellow
of the Institute, Prof. Yauri is now qualified to append the designatory letters ‘’
FICEN’’ after his name.
Al-Qalam University members of Management, Deans of Colleges and staff led
by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Amina Muhammad Sani were at the venue
of the ceremony to rejoice with the Vice-Chancellor.
While welcoming members of the Institute to the regional conference, the
Chairman of the event who is also the Registrar of the College of Health
Sciences Katsina, Alhaji Khalid Ayuba commended the organisers, saying that
the theme of the Conference ‘’ Promoting Business Ethics and Integrity Among
Nigerian Managers’’ is timely, considering the need to restrategise to address
the major challenges of nation building.
The special guest of honour, Speaker, Katsina State House of Assembly,
Honourable Tasiu Musa Zango, who was among the fourteen personalities
inducted by the Institute, said the fellowship award would serve as a source of
inspiration for the awardees to strive to imbibe prudence in managing scarce
resources under their control and maintain ethical conducts to serve as role
model for the society.
Among those inducted were the Katsina State Commissioner of Works, Alh.
TasiuDahiruDandagoro, The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Umar
Musa Yaradua University Katsina, Prof. Abdulhamid Ahmad and also the
University Registrar, Alh. Muhammad Yusuf.
